How to turn off Facebook's extended facial recognition feature
Facebook uses facial recognition in a variety of ways. The company implemented face recognition for the first time in 2013 to recommend people who add tags to photos. How to disable Facebook's facial recognition
If you previously enabled label suggestions, this setting is enabled by default.

If you turn off the tag suggestion or set it as a friend, Facebook will also automatically disable the facial recognition feature, delete the face template, and remove you from the tag suggestion feature. Instead, tag suggestions and facial recognition will be automatically re-enabled for your account and your facial template will be created.
